VENDOR COLLABORATION - Small Business/Medical Group Services Outreach Workshops at Eglin AFB, FL 30 March 2016 - Amendment If you are indicating that you need base access in your registration request, please download the attached Base Access Affidavit attached to this FBO posting, completely fill it out with signature, and include it in your initial registration request to aac.sb@us.af.mil. This will save us time from having to explain the instructions in a follow-up email to you. __________________________________________________________________ AFLCMC Small Business Office, Eglin AFB, FL will be hosting a no cost half-day Small Business/Medical Group Services Outreach Workshop on 11 May 2016 starting at 7:30 a.m. (CST) at the Eglin Conference Center, Bldg 16 for interested small businesses with medical support services capabilities. The intent of this workshop is to provide industry insight to typical medical support services opportunities at Eglin AFB, acquisition policies and procedures, networking time with other attendees, and to offer each attendee an opportunity to meet face-to-face with the end user and contracting officer. Meeting face-to-face with the end user and contracting officer to briefly introduce yourself and your company's capabilities is extremely important. A few weeks after last year's workshop several new medical staffing opportunities needed to be awarded. These new opportunities were awarded to companies that attended the workshop and took the time to meet with the end user and contracting officer. Due to extremely heavy workloads, this will possibly be the only time during the year that companies get to speak directly with the end user and contracting officer. REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN for the 11 May 2016 Small Business/Medical Group Services Outreach Workshop. B usinesses with medical support services capabilities are invited to register for this no cost half-day outreach workshop no later than 11:59 p.m. (CST) on 21 April 2016. If you need base access, please complete the attached Base Access Affidavit and return it to aac.sb@us.af.mil for processing. For registration purposes, please provide the following information to the same email address ( aac.sb@us.af.mil ): 1) Attendee's Name; 2) Company Name; 3) Attendee's Email Address; 4) Attendee's Phone Number; and 5) Whether or not base access is needed. If you need it, include a completed Base Access Affidavit with your registration request. Due to Air Force conference policies and no budget, AFLCMC Small Business Office WILL NOT be providing any beverages or food. The AAFES Food Court is located across the street from the Eglin Conference Center. They serve breakfast and lunch items. Please plan accordingly. *** MOST IMPORTANT *** REGISTRATION CLOSES at 11:59 p.m. (CST) on 21 April 2016. Base Access Affidavits must be completely filled out, legible, and returned before the registration close date/time. AFLCMC Small Business Office will complete a required cover letter for all Base Access Affidavits received and submit them to the 96th Security Forces Squadron (96 SFS) Visitor Center for processing. The 96 SFS will conduct the required background checks and notify the AFLCMC Small Business Office when completed. The 96 SFS process takes approximately 5-7 business days. Those requesting base access through a Base Access Affidavit, are highly encouraged to arrive early on the morning of the workshop. Both Visitor Centers open at 6:00 a.m. (CST) and are usually busy during the first couple hours. There could be an approximate 30 minutes to an hour wait to get your base pass. Visitor Centers are located at the East (Niceville) and West (Shalimar) gates on the right hand side before you get up to the actual gate. You MUST pick up your base pass before attempting to go through the gates. Documents attached to this announcement for your use are listed below. Please be sure to print everything that you will need, especially directions and maps.
