- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District Office requires a contract to perform maintenance pipeline dredging in the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, Channel to Victoria, Victoria Barge Canal for Schedule No. 1, of the Lower Reach and Middle reaches from Station 00+00 to Station 850+00 (approx. 1,200,000 cubic yards) and one Option for the Upper Reach Station 1350+00 to 1600+00 (approx. 400,000 cubic yards). The total cubic yards of material is 1,600,000 cubic yards with a production rate of 10,000 cubic yards per day. Dredge material will be placed in Placement Areas (PA) 1, 2, 3, 9A, 10 & 11. The estimated date of award is 9 Jun 16. Approximately 400,000 CY of the material needs to be placed in PA1 before 15 OCT 2016 due to the Whooping Crane Environment Window which only permits dredging to occur between Apr 15th - Oct 15th of each year. If the contractor fails to complete the work within the time specified, the contractor shall pay liquidated damages to the Government in the amount of $1,895.00 for each calendar day of delay until the work is completed or accepted. Completion time for Schedule No. 1 is 130 calendar days and an additional 55 calendar days for Option No. 1 if executed. The Solicitation issued will be Firm Fixed Price. The magnitude of this project is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. The Solicitation is a "100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE". The Solicitation will be issued on or about 15 April 2016. Response date is 16 May 2016 @ 2:00 PM. ATTENTION TO OFFEROR(s)/CONTRACTOR(s): On July 14, 2014, Small Business Administration (SBA) increased the monetary-based industry size standards to account for inflation. You must update your Representations (Reps) and Certifications (Certs) for the impacted North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes identified with an exclamation point "!" next to the "Small Business" value in the System for Award Management (SAM). Please log into SAM, review, and resubmit your registration to apply the new size standard. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this project is 237990. The Small Business Size Standard is $27.5 Million.
