- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) number N00019-16-G-0007 to General Dynamics - Ordnance and Tactical Systems for the production of 20MM Point and Suppressive Fire System for the H-1 Helicopter program. This requirement will be procured in accordance with the statutory authority permitting other than Full and Open Competition under 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency's requirements. General Dynamics is the original equipment manufacturer and possesses the engineering data, technical skills and requisite knowledge of the design, fabrication, performance, operation, maintenance and support characteristics necessary to inspect/preserve the aforementioned parts. This notice is for information purposes only. Randy Elcan (802) 662-6857 is the point of contact at General Dynamics for any subcontracting opportunities. Note: The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
