- Description
- CONTRACT INFORMATION: This announcement is for the purpose of soliciting contractors interested in submitting a proposal for the restoration of the Biomedical Laboratory, Bldg 67 at the Naval Medical Research Unit (NAMRU) - Three campus in Cairo, Egypt. The Transatlantic Division, Middle East District (TAM), US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price construction contract that includes the Renovation of the existing Biomedical Research Laboratory to include demolition, repair and/or replacement of architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, fire protection, and plumbing features. Work will include site utilities, stand-by power repairs, electrical distribution renovation, testing and commissioning of Biosafety Level (BSL) 2 and 3 spaces, a modular BSL-2/3 laboratory (swing space), and all necessary work to produce a complete and usable facility. The work will also include necessary infrastructure and renovations to Building 71 in order to establish the campus data center, which will be displaced by the B67 renovations. A complete design for this facility was conducted by NAVFAC in 2010, but the construction of that design was not pursued. TAM is updating the designs to current codes and standards, and will execute the resultant construction and renovation. Offerors will be required to submit ConstructionExperience (Factor 1), Management and Technical Capability (Factor 2), Preliminary Schedule (Factor 3), and Past Performance (Factor 4) information on relevant projects to be described in the RFP. Price proposals are to be submitted in a separate volume as described in the RFP. If your company is interested in receiving a copy of the solicitation, please send an email to Mr. Ryan Gregory at ryan.k.gregory@usace.army.mil confirming your interest. Your email message should only state that you would like to receive a copy of the solicitation and an email address for communication. The solicitation will also be made available for download on www.fbo.gov.
