- This project is set-aside for total small Businesses. The NAICS code for this project is 237310, Construction of Highways, Roads, Streets, Bridges, and Railways. The small business size standard is no greater than $36.5M in average annual receipts. Only offers from firms that are certified to meet the total small Business status and the size standard will be considered. You may contact your local U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) office (federal, not state office) for more information on the small Business program. Your local SBA office's contact information may be found by accessing the SBA website (www.sba.gov). Description: This project includes installation of tree root barrier, slide/ slump and traffic marking removal, culvert cleaning, remove and replace existing hot mix asphalt (HMA) dikes and asphalt appurtenant structures of existing overside drains and culverts, mill asphalt surface full width of road including any widening, cut and patch asphalt at isolated locations, lay paving fabric full road width and apply 2" HMA overlay, install new traffic marking. This Section of the Cottonwood road in this project is two-lane, two-way paved road with no-passing in either direction. This project includes all associated work (such as roadside slide/ slump clean up, removal traffic strip/ marking, etc.) to remove and replace existing hot mix asphalt (HMA) dikes, asphalt appurtenant structures of existing overside drains and culverts, mill (cold plane) the top of road asphalt surface full width of road including any widening, lay paving fabric full road width and apply 2" HMA overlay. Any area that has severe to moderate-severe structural failures (significant rutting, alligator cracks, rutting, etc.) shall be over-excavated and rebuilt prior to placing an overlay. Estimated Period of Performance is approximately 60 days. The Government's estimate is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. LOCATION: From Sonora, CA., head east on Mono to the junction with Tuolumne Rd., slight right onto Tuolumne Rd. Proceed 6.9 mi. on Tuolumne Rd. then turn left onto Carter St., proceed on Carter St. for 0.3 mi. then turn right onto Buchanan Rd. which is Forest Road 1N04, continue on 1N04 for 4.8 mi. to project site. The solicitation package will be uploaded when ready, approximately April 15, 2016. The date of award is expected to be within 30 days after the actual response date, which will be stated in the package and possibly changed in one or more amendments. Please hold any technical questions until after review of the solicitation. The technical contact information will be listed in the solicitation. The purpose of this notice is to meet the FAR 5.201 and 36.213-2 requirements. It is the contractor's responsibility to monitor the Federal Business Opportunities website for amendments.
