Description
This is not a solicitation announcement and this is not a Request for Proposals (RFP). No contract will be awarded as a result of the responses received. The United States Marine Corps (USMC) will not reimburse respondents for any costs associated with information submitted in response to this RFI notice. The purpose of this sources sought notice is to determine industry interest and capabilities to provide food services at 48 USMC mess halls located in the continental United States (CONUS). Information is requested from industry to assist the USMC in assessing the market of food service providers and identifying contractors interested in submitting a proposal for the USMC planned follow-on Regional Garrison Food Service (RGFS) Contracts. The Government is not calling for offers at this time; this announcement is an expression of interest only. The current USMC RGFS contracts provide food services at 28 mess halls in the eastern United States and 20 mess halls in the western United States. The mess halls are located at USMC Installations in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Arizona, California, and the District of Columbia. Collectively, the mess halls serve approximately 24 to 28 million meals annually, are open 365 days a year, and provide a wide range of meals, including cafeteria-style meals, fast-food meals, special meals for holidays and celebrations, box lunches and flight-line meals. Interested parties are requested to provide a capabilities statement which provides responses to the below questions. Capabilities statements should be sent to Ms. Jacquelyn Armes via email at jacquelyn.armes@usmc.mil. Responses are requested no later than 4:00 PM EST 6 May 2016. No phone or fax responses will be accepted. 1) Provide the name of your firm, address, telephone, and fax number, website URL, a point of contact, and an email address. 2) Describe whether you are a large or small business concern. 3) Provide your mission statement. 4) Describe your firm's experience and capabilities regarding large-scale food service on a regional or national level. 5) Describe the level at which you perform the majority of your contract efforts (e.g. as the prime contractor or as a subcontractor). 6) Describe what current and future technologies exist in the market and whether these offer opportunities for greater operational efficiency and cost savings for your firm. 7) Describe your reachback capabilities. 8) Describe your approach to managing nutritionally well-balanced menus and food production. 9) Identify any past and/or current Government contracts you have supported. 10) Describe how long you have been providing services in the food industry.
