Description
This is the Single Source Justification supplied by David Grant Medical Center. It demonstrates their intent upon awarding contract to Medtronic/Covidien for a directional atherectomy device. Sources Sought: This is a sources sought description to determine availabilty of other sources to supply directional atherectomy devices approved for use on the superficial femoral artery. This is also a notice of intent to award a sole source contract. David Grant Medical Center located at Travis, AFB intends to award a single-source contract to Medtronic/Covidien for the procurement of their direction atherectomy procedure system. THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. IT DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION AND SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. RESPONSES IN ANY FORM ARE NOT OFFERS AND THE GOVERNMENT IS UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO AWARD A CONTRACT AS A RESULT OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. NO FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE TO PAY FOR PREPARATION OF RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. ANY INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY RESPONDENTS TO THIS DESCRIPTION IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY. Product Description Directional Atherectomy Device to be used on patient's superificial femoral artery. Product must be FDA approved. Please reference attached Single Source J&A for information in regards to David Grant Medical Center's intent upon award to Medtronic/Covidien. The authority for this action is Far 13.106-1(b) Only One Responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satifsy agency requirements. Vendors who wish to respond to this should send responses via email NLT April 11, 2016 at 12:30 PM Pacific Time to heather.shepard.3@us.af.mil. Interested businesses should submit a brief capabilities statement that demonstrates ability to provide similar product that fully satisfies requirement to perform atherectomy procedure on patients. The decision for which level of competition will be sought to award this contract will be based upon attached J&A and responses to this sources sought post. Thank you for your time.
