- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Air Combat Electronics Program Office PMA-209, intends to negotiate and award a sole-source contract to General Electric Aviation Systems, 3290 Patterson Avenue SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512 for the full rate production and support of the AMU and TUFF PCMCIA for year 2017 through 2019. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the requirements." General Electric Aviation Systems is the sole developer of the AMU and TUFF PCMCIA. The General Electric Aviation Systems AMU is the only digital data memory transfer unit tested through TECHEVAL/OPEVAL and certified for flight on TAMMAC equipped military aircraft. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. Interested parties, however, may identify their interest and capability by responding to the requirement. The Government will consider all information received prior to closing date of this synopsis. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this requirement is within the discretion of the Government. No phone inquiries will be entertained. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in a future procurement.
