Description
PROJECT TITLE: Asbestos Abatement and Building Demolition, Crab Orchard, Illinois, Williamson County REFUGE LOCATION: Crab Orchard NWR, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, 8588 Route 148, Marion, IL 62959-5822 PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Work consists of, but is not limited to, furnishing all labor, supervision, tools, equipment, materials, and transportation necessary for the removal of all asbestos containing material from up to 10 buildings/areas located at Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge, Marion, IL, Williamson County. The contractor will be responsible for the demo and removal of Diagraph buildings and a small office building, and demolition of building to cement slab. Removal and disposal of all ACM/PCM materials, lead, all universal waste (fluorescent light bulbs, PCB ballasts, and mercury switches, oils, etc.), and chemicals from buildings, located at Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge. The contractor will be responsible for the removal of Type 2 asbestos: galvasbestos roofing and siding, transite, floor tile and mastic, and some Type 1 asbestos, such as Pipe insulation, and other material that contain PACM. The contractor will be responsible for filling trench and loading docks with grade 4 crush rock. ESTIMATED MAGNITUDE: The estimated magnitude of this requirement in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. A firm-fixed price contract is contemplated. SOCIOECONOMIC PROGRAMS: This procurement is issued as a set-aside exclusively for small business concerns. For information purposes, the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 562910, Remediation Services with a size standard of $20.5 Million. The solicitation package will be available at www.FBO.gov and www.FedConnect.net on or about April 5, 2016, with a Bid Opening occurring on or about May 5, 2016. No telephone requests for the solicitation can be accepted. This solicitation will NOT be available in hard copy. The solicitation package will include the following: An itemized Bid Schedule, Specifications/Scope of Work, Photos/Drawings, Prevailing Wage Determination, Bid Bond Form and miscellaneous documents. Please ensure you have a complete downloaded solicitation package before submitting your Bid. It is the contractor's responsibility to ensure that they receive all appropriate solicitation documents to submit a competitive Bid. Contractors must be registered as "Active" in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov and complete Online Representations and Certifications to be eligible for this award.
