- This Sources Sought/Request for Information (RFI) is posted for planning and market research only. This RFI does not constitute a Request for Proposal, Request for Quote, or Invitation for Bids. This RFI does not committ the Government to issue any type of solicitation or award a contract. This RFI does not restrict the Government from a particular acquisition approach. The Government will not reimburse any respondent for any cost associated with information submitted in response to this Sources Sought/RFI. NAVAIR-4.11.6 Special Surveillance Programs (SSP) has a requirement for L-3 Wescam MX-series electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) turrets, specifically for CONUS Maritime support. These sensors shall be integrated onto U.S. Navy ships, and provide Critical Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) support for a range of Navy-specific missions. The Contractor shall provide an estimated quantity of ten (10) exportable L-3 Wescam MX-series electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) turrets (Ball-up for Maritime Application). The Contractor shall manufacture, validate and deliver equipment as required by and to the classified specifications of the Government. Acceptance shall be by Government personnel. Additionally, the Contractor shall, at the optioin of the Government, provide 24/7 Reach Back Support via two (2) six month Optioins.
