- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. THIS NOTICE IS ISSUED FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR INVITATION FOR OFFERORS TO SUBMIT BIDS. A SYNOPIS OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION MAY BE POSTED AT A LATER DATE WHICH WILL PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONS FOR BIDDERS TO RESPOND TO THIS OPPORTUNITY. Please only respond to this sources sought notice if you are interested in submitting a bid and capable of performing the work required to complete the project. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) anticipates the need for a firm-fixed-price contract for a project entitled Replace Hospital Skylights at the Federal Medical Center (FMC) Carswell. FMC Carswell is a federal medical center located at "J" Street, building 3000, Fort Worth, Texas 76127. The following brief synopsis should not be considered inclusive of work required to complete the project. The project consists of replacing the hospital skylights. The contractor will be required to remove and replace the aluminum framed skylight systems and all of the components. Removal of sloped skylight system panels and replace with new insulated fiberglass translucent sandwich panel skylight system. Removal of acrylic pyramidal skylight system and replace with new flat fiberglass single panels. Replace all glazing gaskets and sealants encompassing the sloped skylight/pyramidal skylight system. Replace all metal flashings associated with replacement of the skylight panels with aluminum flashing at twenty gauge thickness. All metal flashings shall be sealed to existing EPDM roof and pre-cast concrete walls. Replace the entire EPDM bladder type joint. The performance period for the project will be 300 calendar days from issuance of the notice to proceed. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project lies between $250,000 and $500,000. (NOTE: This range is one of 8 available ranges from FAR 36.204 and is not meant to imply that the project has necessarily been estimated/budgeted to the maximum of the selected range. It merely conveys that the estimate/budget lies somewhere within that range.) The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 238160 with a corresponding small business size standard of $15 million. Interested parties must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov. The BOP is seeking small business contractors for this project. Your business size metrics information entered in you SAM registration must be less than or equal to the small business size standard specified above. Interested small business contractors are requested to respond to this notice by adding their names to the Interested Vendors List for this posting in FedBizOpps.gov (must be logged-in to your account). The synopsis of proposed contract action will include further instruction for responding to this opportunity. Interested bidders are advised to continuously monitor FedBizOpps.gov for all future updates.
