Description

Description of Service: The Erie Veterans Affairs Medical Center (EVAMC), Facilities Management Services (FMS) 138 provides maintenance and support for the existing water deionized (DI) water generation system serving the hospital's sterile processing service (SPS) department. The current system uses carbon, cation and anion tanks to generate DI water. The system also uses an automatic 'bank changer' in-place that switches between an A and B tank when one tank requires regeneration. One bank remains operational while the other bank is in stand-by for potential replacement with a new, regenerated tank.
