Description

Synopsis VA528-16-Q-0169: This is a public synopsis of a forthcoming solicitation in accordance with FAR 36.213-2. This is NOT a solicitation, and no solicitation documents are currently publically available. The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction contractor to furnish all labor, tools, materials, equipment, supplies and supervision required for paving and granite curbing between buildings 5& 6 at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 400 Fort Hill Ave. Canandaigua, NY 14424. Competition for this procurement is restricted to SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB). The general scope of work for this project is to install asphalt paving and granite curbing between building 5 and 6 at the Canandaigua VAMC in Canandaigua NY. Adult Day Health Care services will be moving to building 5 and a circular drive is required for patient drop off and pick up near this location. Below is a description of the existing conditions and requirements to of this project. The contractor will be given a 30 day period of performance to complete this project. Estimated construction cost range is $25,000-$100,000. The firm must be a Highway, Street and Bridge Construction Contractor approved under NAICS: 237310, size standard: $36.5 million. The offeror shall obtain any and all necessary licenses or permits required to perform this work in the State of New York. Prospective contractors must be registered and certified online with http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov and must be registered at http://www.sam.gov in accordance with 38 CFR Part 74 and VAAR 819.70 to be eligible for award. Solicitation will be posted on/about April 22, 2016. A walk-through will be held on or about one week after the posting of the solicitation for this RFQ. These dates are estimates. The actual dates will be stated in the solicitation. The Contracting Specialist for this project is Emily Lindsey (Emily.Lindsey2@va.gov). This is a SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN OWNED BUSINESS SET-ASIDE.
