- Scope of Work The contractor shall provide all management, supervision, labor, materials, equipment, repairs, parts, tools and supplies including inspection and maintenance of all operational equipment necessary to provide waste removal services. The contractor shall plan, schedule, coordinate and ensure effective and economical completion of all work and services specified in this contract. The contractor WILL insure the Center's compliance with the State of New York new rules governing recycling requirements. This will be a Single-Stream Recycling Collection. Contractor must familiarize themselves with New York City Department of Sanitation new rules governing recycling requirement, which can be viewed and printed at http://www1.nyc.gov/assets/dsny/docs/DSNY%20NOTICE%20OF%20ADOPTION%20COMMERCIAL%20RECYCLING%20RULES%202.5.16.pdf The contractor will furnish all supplies, materials, equipment, and employee training necessary for the performance of the work of this contract unless otherwise specified herein. The Contractor shall maintain all the spaces used in the performance of waste removal services in a clean and orderly manner. When work is performed in these areas, the Contractor's personnel shall clean up all debris and leave the area in a presentable condition. The contractor shall remove all hydraulic fluid and oil spillage caused by the collection vehicles at the loading dock area. The Contractor shall develop and implement operational guidelines covering all aspects of the waste removal service. A copy of the guidelines shall be submitted to the Purchasing Agent within 5 days after award. All equipment shall be maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations and/or the best practices of the industry. Containers shall be metal with hinged lids at the opening. Containers not maintained in good repair will be replaced within (48) hours of notification at the contractor's expense. Center Director and/or his/her designee will be the judge of what constitutes "good repair". Contractor shall remove refuse to a sanitary landfill of the contractor's choosing. Contractor shall insure containers are emptied and refuse is transported from the center without strewing or littering the area. Contractor shall locate containers throughout the center as directed by the Center Director and/or his/her designee. Contractor shall furnish the equipment agreed upon in the Fee-For-Service Bid Sheet, which they agree to maintain and keep in good and workable condition. Both parties acknowledge that the containers shall remain the property of the Contractor and shall be maintained by Contractor at its sole expense in good and operable condition.
