Description
Construction project: Lower Monumental Telephone System Upgrade The work described herein at Lower Monumental Dam shall include but not be limited to the following: 1. Install new cable plant; copper plant shall be CAT 6a per Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 802.3an. Where additional fiber optic cable is required, fiber plant shall be 50/125 micron multimode. 2. Core drilling will be required, with requisite enclosures. Project will include conduit, cable tray/ladder and cable race installations. 3. Circuit breakers and 120 volt power feeds and uninterruptable power supplies installed to support existing telephone switching equipment. 4. Provide as-built drawings as specified. Shop drawings shall be created in MicroStation Version V8 or compatible equivalent. Place of Performance is the Lower Monumental Lock and Dam located near Kahloutus, Washington, Franklin County. All on-site work shall be performed in accordance with the Corps of Engineers Safety and Health Requirements Manual (EM 385-1-1). Solicitation is open to both large and small business concerns. Solicitation Number W912EF-16-B-0002 will be posted to the FedBizOpps (FBO) website on or about 25 April 2016. The bid opening date will be contained in the solicitation and any solicitation amendments that may be issued. A site visit will be offered approximately 2 weeks after the solicitation is posted. Refer to the solicitation for details regarding the site visit. This will be a firm fixed-price construction contract. Magnitude of Construction is estimated between $500,000 and $1,000,000. A bid bond is required in the amount of 20 percent of the total bid price. Performance and Payment bonds in the amount of 100 percent of the total contract price are required. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 238210 and the associated small business size standard is $15 million.
