Description

JUSTIFICATION FOR AN EXCEPTION TO FAIR OPPORTUNITY This justification will issue a five (5) month firm-fixed price task order to the incumbent, NetCentrics Corporation (NetCentrics) to continue Information Technology (IT) Operations Front Office Support for the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD); WHS; WHS Supported Organizations (WSO); and the Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA). The current task order, issued on June 01, 2015, was for a ten (10) month base period. The current Task Order expires on March 31, 2016. There are no options available under the existing Task Order. This proposed task order award is a bridge task order to the expiring task order 0008 under contract HQ0034-11-D-0002. The current task order was issued off of Multiple Award Contract (MAC) named the Net-Centric Integrated Enterprise Information Technology Solutions (NIEITS). The MAC was solicited and awarded as a small business set-aside under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 541513-Computer Facilities Management Services. A total of three indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contracts were awarded to small businesses; NetCentrics, the incumbent under the expiring task order 0008, is one of those vendors.
