Description

Notice of Intent to Sole Source The Great Lakes Acquisition Center is procuring the following for the William Middleton VA Medical Center located at 2500 Overlook Terrace in Madison, WI 53705: -Eco Lab Hush Slush Auto Stir Kit This requirement is for a direct replacement of an older piece of this equipment. This kit creates sterilized slush and ice during operating procedures in order to help keep the patient's heart cool. It stirs the solution while it freezes which keeps the slush from developing sharp edges or forming into a solid block of sterile ice. The slush is packed around the heart during open heart surgeries so it is imperative that no sharp edges are present that could cause trauma to delicate tissue. The Great Lakes Acquisition Center intends to award on a sole source basis IAW 38 U.S.C. 8127, a contract to verified SDVOSB Geo-Med, LLC 478 E. Altamonte Dr. Ste. 108 Altamonte Springs, FL 32701. The applicable NAICS code is 339113 and the size standard is 500 employees. Sources may identify their interest and/or capabilities by responding to this notice. This notice, however, is NOT a request for quotation or a solicitation of offers and no such solicitation is available. All responses to this notice that are received within three days of its publication will be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government.
