- USCG ACADEMY, NEW LONDON, CT SOURCES SOUGHT # HSCGG1-16-S- RACQTBALLCRTS CASREP - REPLACE RACQUETBALL COURTS ROLAND HALL, USCG ACADEMY, NEW LONDON, CT (NEW LONDON COUNTY) PROJECT #7309248 SOURCES SOUGHT: THIS IS ONLY A MARKET SURVEY FOR WRITTEN INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUCEMENT. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. In order to protect the procurement integrity of any future procurement that may arise from this announcement, information regarding the technical point of contact will not be given and no appointments for presentations will be made. The U.S. Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for Small Business concerns, HUBZone Small Business concerns, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business concerns (SDVOSB), 8(a) certified Small Business concerns, Woman-Owned Small Business concerns, or solicit Unrestricted. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, with a small business size standard of $36.5 million. The estimated value of the procurement is between $200,000 and $300,000. Performance and Payment bonds will be required. The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking Interested Vendors with successful past performance, current relevant experience, personnel/resources, equipment, and capability to remove and replace the damaged racquetball court flooring and wall panel systems for five courts in Roland Hall at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. Work includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. Remove the existing wall panel and flooring systems to bare substrate. Floors shall be removed to bare concrete. Wall panel system shall be removed to bare hard plaster finish with all adhesive residue removed. Surfaces shall be prepped IAW manufacturer's recommendations. 2. Clean substrate surfaces and prep for new floor and wall system installation IAW manufactures instructions. Provide termite repellant application to the prepped substrate surface. 3. Remove and reinstall all doors. Replace interior door panels and trim to match new finish thickness of wall and floor systems. 4. Provide and install new court floor system, including vapor retarder, steel rails and clips, foam board underlayment, maple hardwood flooring, and all accessories. 5. Provide and install new court wall system, including furring, fasteners, adhesives, splines, and laminated wall panels. 6. Finish floor surfaces including painting of all game lines, and multiple applications of seal and finish coats with surfaces prepped between coats. The performance period is estimated to be 14 weeks or 98 days from issuance of Notice to Proceed with an estimated period of performance on site of 10 weeks or 70 days. Your response is required no later than 22 April 2016. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on an applicable set-aside.
