Description
Renovation of BLDG 313 and 315, GLYNCO, GA. The contractor will furnish all labor, materials equipment and supervision necessary to accomplish work detailed herein. The contractor will verify all quantities, dimensions, site conditions etc. The contractor will supply all supplemental and related miscellaneous work to comply with the scope of work as indicated in the Specifications, Statement of Work and/or Contract. Part 1 General 1.1 Background Information A. The scope of work for this project is to repair multiple areas of drywall damage in specified areas, and paint all interior spaces of Bldg. 313 and 315 as shown on Drawings A-1 and A-2. 1.2 Work Covered by Contact Documents A. The Contractor shall install bead board, chair rail, and base molding in designated areas, and replace vinyl floor and base boards in Restroom # 1. Contractor shall provide sample of vinyl prior to start of work and receive written approval before installation. Refer to Drawing A-1 Bldg. 315 for location of working areas. B. The contractor shall install 16 new window sills (wood) and, trim aprons. Remove two (2) metal door frames in kitchen area of Bldg. 313 and repair drywall. Refer to Drawing A-2, for Bldg. 313 for location of work. C. Contractor shall prepare all walls and paint entire interior of Bldg. 313 and 315, including mechanical rooms, with two (2) base coats and one (1) finish coat. Paint color shall be SW 6106 Kilim Beige, Sherwin Williams, Specification Section 09 90 00 page 3, Section 1.2 Submittals. All trim and base boards in Bldg. 313 and 315 shall be painted SW 7757 High Reflective White. D. Contractor will be responsible for moving all objects such as furniture, etc., to complete work within this Statement of Work (SOW) and reposition all objects for the next calendar day, to not impede the operation of the facility. Contractor shall protect all objects located in Bldg. 313 and 315 from damage. E. All work shall be performed to meet or exceed all manufacturer, state, local and applicable building codes. 1.3 Coordination and Quality Control / Assurance A. Coordinate all construction schedule and all construction operations with the Project Manager (PM). B. Work shall occur on weekends only. No work shall occur during normal operation hours of Child Care facility, unless otherwise notified by Contracting Officer Representative (COR). Weekend work shall be from 7 AM to 5 PM on Saturday and from 7 AM to 2PM on Sunday, to allow paint fumes to dissipate before the next working day. C. Contractor shall be responsible identifying all personal and equipment to be used on this project, and provide a written list to the Contracting Officer CO. Preapproval of all personal and equipment trucks, etc., is required. per Specification Section 01 14 00 Work Restrictions. D. The Superintendent / Job Foreman shall be responsible to ensure work is performed in accordance with the terms of the Statement of Work and /or Contract. E. All work shall be inspected by the Government and accepted before issuance of final payment. F. If there is a conflict between the SOW and the Contract, the Contract shall take precedence. G. Project is a phased project and must be completed not to impede the daily operation of the facility. Coordination with users is required. H. All commercial equipment and materials other than work trucks shall be delivered to Bldg. 313 and 315 during normal working hours 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays, Mon-Fri, through the FLETC commercial gate. 1.4 Submittals A. Submittals shall be required for all materials and equipment items used in completion of this project. Required submittals to include but are not limited to, paint color sample and sample pattern of linoleum per Specification Section 09 65 00, MSDS sheets, data sheets for all wood products installed Specification Section 06 20 00. B. Contactor shall provide a Project Schedule (Gantt Chart or other similar method) to COR prior to start of work and identify work times, ensure coordination with building occupants, estimate duration of scheduled activity, show sequence of activities and dependence on other activities and identify required resources for each activity. C. Contractor shall provide COR with three (3) copies of Accident Prevention Plan (APP). D. Work shall not proceed without written approval of all materials from (CO). E. Submit three (3) copies of all Data/Cut sheets for all materials used in renovation of Bldg. 313 and 315 to COR. F. All products and/or materials shall conform to the requirements and the related specifications of this Statement of Work and/or Contract and comply with all standard and applicable building codes. Part 2 Execution 2.1 Performance period The contractor shall have a maximum of 60 calendar work days to complete the work described in this project, from the date of the notice to proceed. All drawings will be issued at the site visit.
