Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. REQUESTS FOR A SOLIICATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. This Sources Sought is in support of Market Research being conducted by the United Stated Department of the Navy (US DON) to identify repair sources and to determine if this effort can be provided as competitive or as a Small Business Set-aside. Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Mechanicsburg is conducting market research, pursuant to FAR Part 10, seeking eligible contractors who are qualified and have the capability to furnish efforts including but not limited to labor, material, and facilities to repair and/or modify LM2500 Gas Engine Compressor Blade with an assigned National Stock Number (NSN) of 2840-01-521-7940. US DON does not have the technical data to provide to potential sources. Qualification requirements for this sources sought means that a potential source must hold an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) license and be substantiated by the OEM to work on this compressor blade. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this inquiry is 336412. The potential source shall be capable of furnishing all required labor, material, facilities and equipment to provide repair and/or modification actions, test, preservation and packaging, and return to the US DON a completely serviceable unit. Contractor will be responsible for supply chain management, logistics, forecasting of parts, long-lead parts procurement, reparable forecasting, obsolescence issues and delivery of serviceable assets. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY! Any information submitted is strictly voluntary. The US DON will not pay for any information submitted in response to this announcement. The results from this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. All responsible sources may identify their interest and provide capability statements in response to this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within 15 days after date of publication of this sources sought notice will be considered by the US DON. A determination by the US DON not to compete this proposed contract is solely within the discretion of the US DON. The US DON may request that interested parties provide a copy of the OEMs manufacturing data (including disassembly, repair, test and an illustrated parts breakdown including part numbers) or an OEM licensee agreement certifying corporation approval by the OEM to repair and/or modify this compressor blade. Approval of a source is required. NAVSUP WSS will not delay award while source approval is pending. Contact Gary D.
