- Description
- The U. S. Department of Energy (DOE) Oak Ridge Office (ORO) intends to negotiate a fixed price acquisition for audio/visual equipment, and installation to support the ORO Emergency Operations Center (OROEOC) located in the Joe L. Evins Federal Office Building in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The OROEOC is the ORO central command and control facility activated to serve in response to site emergencies at DOE facilities in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. A critical component in the OROEOC is the video wall which is used by the OROEOC staff to monitor and process event information simultaneously from multiple sources allowing for senior management to determine appropriate actions to take. Information on the video wall is displayed via an audio/visual control processor outputting to three projectors. In addition to displaying various web-based products, mapping and facility information, the audio/visual processor also has the capability to display up to four (4) separate television channels which are used to monitor both local and national news stations. The acquisition of the replacement system will include hardwire installation of the audio/visual equipment and the necessary materials and cabling for connections between designated computer workstations, the audio/visual control processor, connectivity to critical back-up generators, and the displays described below. The acquisition will include a training option for staff on the use of the installed hardware and software. The DOE requires the following items and services, with Brand Name or Equal to the following: ?At least three high definition displays, 1080p or greater, that will fit in with the existing video wall space of approximately 18 feet wide by 5 feet high as well as the existing audio system. ?Additional high definition display(s), 1080p or greater, to be wall mounted apart from the video wall for use in displaying at any one time a minimum of four (4) local and national news stations. ?The display(s) will be integrated into the existing OROEOC audio system. ?An audio/visual control processor (CorioMaster 4U, or Equal) which will have input connectivity from five (5) computers in the OROEOC with two (2) of the computers being capable of managing the control processor software. The control processor must be capable of: a) Scaling on-screen content across multiple displays and/or displaying multiple computer inputs from the connected computers onto each of the displays on the video wall. b) Changing pre-set display scenarios from one display to another. c) Displaying applications from the connected computers (e.g., Microsoft Office products, web-based content, etc.) d) Controlling the additional wall-mounted display(s). e) System must be upgradeable and scalable for future requirements.
