- Draft Statement of Work THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY for the purpose of conducting Market Research. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. THERE WILL NOT BE A SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. For information purposes, a DRAFT Statement of Work is included as a part of this posting. The Vicksburg District Contracting Office is soliciting Capability and/or Product Statements from all qualified and interested firms to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources. The NAICS Code for the proposed acquisition is 327410 Lime Manufacturing with a size standard of 750. DRAFT STATEMENT OF WORK: SEE ADDITIONAL INFO BELOW The USACE, Vicksburg District has a requirement for lime. The lime shall be Type N-normal hydrated lime for finishing purposes. It shall be clean and free from earth, dust, or other refuse. The unit of measure will be the ton (2,000lbs). The weight of each truckload will be determined by weight tickets submitted to the Authorized Representative of the Contraction Officer in charge of the work. The material shall be delivered by contractor-furnished trucks, and shall be delivered to the individual jobsites as directed through individual delivery orders by the Contracting Officer or his authorized representative. Prices will be on the basis of delivery F.O.B. DESTINATION only. In the event after an order has been placed with the contractor for delivery of lime and before delivery has been made, if the weather so changes that the lime cannot be spread at the specified location, the government will pay the contractor delivery under the corresponding line items when lime is delivered but cannot be spread due to weather conditions and lime must be returned to contractor's plant. This will reimburse the contractor's transportation costs only and not reflect the price of the lime. The freight charges for delivery of lime under normal conditions will be included in the cost of the lime under the corresponding line items. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES. The contractor will be required to furnish all material, equipment and labor necessary to furnish and deliver by spreading approximately 4890 tons Hydrated Lime which will be inspected at each individual jobsite in accordance to FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items LOCATIONS OF SERVICE AREAS. The locations are within the 200 miles Vicksburg District which includes the Mississippi River levee slide, Red River levee slide, and the Bayou Bodcau Levee slide.
