Description
Sources Sought Information Form Synopsis: MODIFY SPRINKLER SYSTEM - SOURCES SOUGHT. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential sources for this project including interested Small Business sources. This notice is for planning purposes only. All interested parties should respond. The Tennessee Air National Guard, Memphis ANG Base, Memphis, TN has been tasked to solicit for and award the following projects: (A) Extend existing wet sprinkler system into the existing paint booth to meet NFPA and OSHA regulations, which consist of: Install new piping and sprinkler heads into the paint booth located in the Corrosion Control Hangar, Building 4455 according to NFPA standards. This includes ceiling penetrations and ceiling-mounted items into the existing paint booth. Tie in new piping to the existing junction located immediately outside the paint booth. Update any hydraulic placards in accordance with NFPA standards where applicable. Paint newly installed piping to match the existing wet pipe system. Install sprinkler head covers or bags inside the paint booth to protect against overspray residue in accordance to NFPA standards. (B) Change from an existing wet sprinkler system to clean agent suppression system to better protect critical communications servers, which consist of: Properly cap and seal existing wet sprinkler systems in Location 1 and Location 2. Install detection and control panels including abort and manual pull stations and audio visual notification devices. Tie in detection and control panels into existing Monaco FACP to communicate to the Fire Alarms desk. Install discharge pressure switch with monitoring capabilities to the existing Monaco FACP. Ensure UL Listed, FM Approved ECARO 25 fire suppression system. Install Liquid Level Indicator on cylinders (with an LLI you do not need to weigh the cylinder every 6 months). Install proper strapping for clean agent cylinders. Install warning signs per NFPA and OSHA. Include MSDS for clean agent in closeout documents. Proposed projects will be a Firm Fixed Price contract. The type of solicitation issued will depend up on the responses to this synopsis. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow up information requests. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of various members of the Small Business Community to include Section 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUB-Zone), and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) to compete and perform a Firm Fixed Price Contract. The magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. All interested concerns will provide this office, in writing, a notice stating their positive intention to submit a proposal as a prime contractor no later than 23 April 2016, 10:00 A.M. EST. This notification, which shall not exceed five typewritten pages, must include a (1) positive statement of intent to bid as a prime contractor, and (2) a completed and signed Sources Sought Information Request Form (attached to this posting) and (3) A listing of projects completed during the past three years, both for government and private industry. The type of project, dollar value, Contract number, location, and Point of Contact are to be included. Indicate if you were prime or subcontractor, and if subcontractor, provide the name and point of contact for the prime contractor. (4) A brief outline of resources, subcontractors, and key personnel that would be used to accomplish the contract. In the event adequate Small Business contractors are not available for adequate competition for this project, it may be advertised as unrestricted.
