- Solicitation Amendment 1 for Iowa Forestry Wage Determination Amendment 1: Updated for Iowa Forestry Wage Determination This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a separate written request for quotations will not be issued. The contractor shall furnish all necessary management, supervision, inspection, personnel, materials, supplies, tools, equipment, transportation and vehicles necessary to control undesirable vegetation at 7 sites managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers. See solicitation and specifications as stated in the Statement of Work/Specifications. The application of herbicides is needed to control undesirable vegetation at seven (7) forest management locations on Corps of Engineers (COE) property. These services will cover approximately 68.55 acres of land located in Pierce, Buffalo and Vernon Counties in Wisconsin, Goodhue County in Minnesota, and Allamakee County in Iowa. These sites are in various stages of restoration to maintain floodplain forest habitat. For this project, undesirable vegetation is defined as any vegetation that completes with regenerating forest trees for growing space, water, and nutrients. This procurement has NAICS code 561730, Landscaping Services. The small business size standard for this NAICS is $7.5 million. The appropriate PSC for this procurement is F008, Natural Resources and Conservation Services - Recreation Site Maintenance, and the SIC is 0782, Lawn and Garden Services. This procurement is set- aside for small businesses.
