- KO Signed Sole Source Synopsis The United States Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM), Fort Belvoir, VA 22060 intends to award a contract on a sole source basis to Xerox Corporation [CAGE Code 4SLH1 (Lewisville, TX)] to accomplish the following objective: to purchase maintenance for the Nuvera 144 DPS and its additional components (4 Tray Feed Module w/Scanner, 4 Tray Insertion Module BFM w/Direct Connect, 2nd Toner Bottle Kit, and Xerox Tape Binder) plus software updates (Postscript & PPML Software and Productivity Plus Software License) to keep the DPS operating OEM specifications. A manager for Federal Contract Operations for Xerox has written, "Xerox does not have any other entities, Large or Small Business, that are Authorized Service Providers for Xerox Production Equipment." The intent is to purchase this maintenance for this Digital Production System and its additional components by April 22, 2016. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 811212 with the size standard being $27,500,000.00. All interested parties are encouraged to provide information on their capabilities to meet this requirement in a cost effective manner. In order to be considered a potential source, interested parties must submit a clear and convincing business case demonstrating their capabilities to satisfy the requirement specified above and the advantages to the Government. The documentation shall include prices and descriptive literature containing sufficient technical documentation to establish a bona-fide capability to meet this requirement. Only written responses will be considered-send responses to shawn.m.smith4.civ@mail.mil All written responses from responsible sources will be considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis, the contracting officer may determine that a solicitation will be issued. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis will be published. Any such solicitation will be issued to the intended schedule vendor and all firms that respond to this synopsis. If no affirmative written response, indicating that comparable sources are available, is received within 3 calendar days of publication of this notice, the Government shall proceed with a sole source award to Xerox Corporation in Lewisville TX on 22 April 2016.
