- 8(a) Competitive Synopsis Air Force Systems Networking (AFSN) FA8771-16-R-0023 Synopsis: Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC), AFLCMC/HIZK intends to post a solicitation for proposals limited to 8(a) Small Business concerns to compete for a single Firm Fixed Price award supporting the Air Force Systems Networking (AFSN) program. The Government anticipates the release of the solicitation FA8771-16-R-0023 on or about 2 May 2016. AFSN provides enterprise level networking, analysis, design, installation development, technical and IT project support for the sustainment and modernization of Air Force data communications requirements. This contract will include providing network systems installation and IT project services. The Period of Performance is anticipated to be a 6 month Base and four 1 year option periods. The tentative Period of Performance is as follows: Base (6 months) 29 September 2016 - 28 March 2017 Option 1 29 March 2017- 28 March 2018 Option 2 29 March 2018- 28 March 2019 Option 3 29 March 2019- 28 March 2020 Option 4 29 March 2020- 28 March 2021 This synopsis does not constitute a solicitation for offers and is for informational purposes only.
