- Notice of Intent to Sole Source: Unisys ClearPath Libra 4390 Servers and Software Maintenance. The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) intends to award a purchase order to Unisys Corporation, 11720 Plaza America Dr 7 th FL, Reston, VA 20190-4757, for Servers and Software Maintenance. The provided supplies and services are proprietary and the services will be provided for a one (1) year base and two (2) one (1) year option years. The base period is June 1, 2016 through May 31, 2017. The purpose of this purchase order is to obtain onsite and offsite technical support for the Unisys ClearPath equipment. It is critical that this equipment be maintained to avoid the possibility of a breakdown and to ensure that the systems continue to operate in compliance with Unisys' specification. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541519 and the business size standard is $27.5M. This notice of intent is not a solicitation or Request for Quote (RFQ). It has been determined that Unisys Corporation is the only known responsible source capable of providing the required services and no other services will satisfy the agency's requirements. However, any company that believes it is capable of meeting USPTO's requirement, as stated herein, may submit its corporate capabilities, which, if received by the response date of this announcement, may be considered. Responses to this posting must be in writing and shall be emailed to Stacy Duncan at stacy.duncan@uspto.gov and are due by 9:00AM, EST on Monday, May 2, 2016. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
