- Attachment 2 Attachment 1 FRI The Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR) is seeking to purchase one MACSQuant Tyto (BRAND NAME OR EQUAL) cell sorter. The MACSQuant Tyto is an integral part of successful standardization and validation of validated pre-clinical and clinical assays for vaccine studies within the Malaria Vaccine Branch (MVB). It is a disposable, closed cartridge system, where the sample remains in the closed cartridge throughout the sorting process until the time of post sort recovery. Furthermore, the sample does not interact with the instrument or any fluidics outside the cartridge. The closed cartridge system eliminates any chance for sample to sample contamination and ensures operator safety as there is no risk of exposure to aerosolized sample.
