Description

THIS IS A PRESOLICITATION NOTICE. The VA Northern California Health Care System will be issuing an Invitation for Bids (IFB) to award a construction contract to a General Contractor for Project 612-126, Correct Bldg. 650 Seismic Deficiencies and Renovate 1st Floor. The project will be located at VA Northern Health Care System facility at Mather Campus, CA. The intention of this project will be to: "Correct structural and nonstructural seismic deficiencies in building 650, "Include renovation for critical/essential patient services, "Centralize veterans' services such as escort, enrollment/eligibility, "Correct FCA and ADA deficiencies for stairwell, elevator, "Include energy efficient lighting and power on the first floor, "Seismic correction also includes renovation of 10,000sf for outpatient pharmacy services area, "Relocate canteen cafe to create information and welcome center at the entrance of building 650, "Add 9,500sf frontage to building 650's footprint. It is anticipated an IFB will be released on/about April 16, 2016. At this point in the procurement process, the Department of Veterans Affairs is performing market research to determine contractor socio-economic category, e.g. Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, 8(a) etc. and, bonding capacity. Interested firms should send, by e-mail only, the following information: Socio-Economic Category, SAM record, DUNS number, Maximum bonding capability for a single bid and Total maximum bonding capacity. The applicable NAICS code for this procurement is 236220. The Small Business Size Standard is $36.5 million. Project magnitude is between $5,000,000 and $9,000,000.
