- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to enter into sole source negotiations and subsequently award a Firm Fixed Price Simplified Acquisition Contract to Curtiss-Wright, located in Cheswick, PA. This contract is for the procurement of the Native File format for drawings developed for the Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) Motor Generator and Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) Electric Motor shipsets in support of United States Navy Carrier Vessel Nuclear (CVN) ship 78. The efforts include the delivery of the Native File format to support sustainment and future procurement of EMALS and AAG shipsets. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Unless stated herein, no additional information is available. Requests for the same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. GENERAL INFORMATION: Curtiss-Wright, the Original Equipment Manufacturer of EMALS and AAG subcomponents, is the only source for the delivery of the Native File format drawings. There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award, or be responsible for any money expended by interested parties before award of a contract for the effort described above. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a contract.
