Description
This is a modification to synopsis DE-SOL-0008746 entitled Paducah Deactivation and Remediation which was posted on September 2, 2015. The purpose of this notice is to provide all interested parties with a notice that the Department of Energy Environmental Management Consolidated Business Center will conduct a site tour, pre-solicitation conference, and one-on-one sessions for the Paducah Deactivation and Remediation procurement. Department of Energy has scheduled these activities to be held May 17-19, 2016 from 8:00 AM ? 7:00 PM local time each day. The location for the in briefing is as follows: Western Kentucky Community and Technical College Engineering Building, Crounse Hall 4810 Alben Barkley Dr, Paducah, KY 42002 The specific details (e.g., registration information; schedule; general logistics) will be provided on the Paducah Deactivation and Remediation website the week of April 18, 2016. The website is here: https://www.emcbc.doe.gov/SEB/PaducahDandR/ Attendance at the site tour, pre-solicitation conference, and one-on-one sessions is not mandatory. The Government will not reimburse any interested party for expenses related to attendance at these activities. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. Note the Draft Request for Proposals will be provided to all interested parties prior to the site tour, pre-solicitation conference, and one-on-one sessions. The Draft Request for Proposals will be provided on the Paducah Deactivation and Remediation website listed above and on FedBizOpps at www.fbo.gov. The solicitation number will remain DE-SOL-0008746. The Environmental Management Consolidated Business Center point of contact is Bridget Purdy at bridget.purdy@emcbc.doe.gov ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is currently in the acquisition planning stage for deactivation and remediation services at the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant (PGDP or Paducah Site). The deactivation and remediation services to be acquired will be performed at the Paducah Site which is located on a federal reservation in Western Kentucky, approximately 8 miles west of Paducah, Kentucky, and 3.5 miles south of the Ohio River. Fluor Federal Services, Inc. is the incumbent contractor and its contract currently expires during July 2017. The purpose of this Request for Information is to solicit input via capability statements from interested parties with the specialized capabilities necessary to meet the requirements of the Draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) for the deactivation and remediation project at Paducah.
