- Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS), the Management and Operating Contractor for the Dept. of Energy (DOE) at the Savannah River Site (SRS) located near Aiken, SC is seeking to outsource its Service Desk support services. The main components of the scope of work are - 1. Tier 1 Help Desk: Processes approx. 200 calls per day. Agents expected to document and categorize all calls in the FootPrints incident tracking system. 2. Computer Account Management (CAM) Overview: Performs all computer account support. Approx. 200 weekly requests for computer accounts in Active Directory, Email, Oracle, SecurID tokens, Citrix Open Internet and Alfresco. 3. Desk Side Support Overview: This function is assigned approx. 160 tickets per month. Personnel would travel approx. 1600 miles per month within the SRS boundaries to resolve problems that can't be resolved by phone. These personnel will require either 'Q' or 'L' clearances. 4. Mobility Support Overview: Provides mobile devices, including cell phone, iPhones and iPads to SRS personnel. Approx. 20 devices are distributed on a monthly basis. Training to users must be provided. Approx. 75 help desk tickets are assigned monthly and 25 - 50 walk-up customer services requests are handled monthly. 5. Network Operations Center (NOC) Overview: 24/7/365 operation. Monitors, responds and resolves issues with the site network and its related devices, applications, phones, servers and the data centers. Also provide after-hours, weekend and holiday Help support. Performs account resets and remote access assistance after hours. Should SRNS proceed with issuance of a request for proposal, the basis for award will be best value. Additionally, SRNS will seek a fixed monthly unit price per SRS user for performing scope activities 1 - 5 above as a single package. Any resultant subcontract will have a 3 year base period and 2 separate one-year options. Additional information regarding SRNS and SRS can be found at www.srs.gov. Expressions of interest must be e-mailed to Larry Coffey ( lawrence.coffey@srs.gov ) with a copy to Joe Ortaldo ( j.ortaldo@srs.gov ) on or before 4/29/16 and contain a discussion of the interested parties' qualifications, capabilities, experience and past peformance that would be relevant to this scope of work. Should SRNS proceed with issuance of a request for proposal, it will not be subject to full and open competition. SRNS will evaluate expressions of interest for the purpose of developing a list of suppliers to whom the request for proposal would be issued, and reserves the right to exclude an interested party whose combination of qualifications, capabilities, experience and past performance are significantly deficient. SRNS intends to set the request for proposal for this scope of work aside for small businesses. Should SRNS proceed with issuance of a request for proposal, any proposal received will be compared against SRNS internal costs to perform the scope of work. If it is determined that it is more advantageous to perform the work utilizing SRNS personnel, the request for proposal will be cancelled in its entirety.
