- Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific (SSC Pacific) intends to award a firm- fixed-price purchase order on a sole source basis to UR Water, LLC. The requirement is to demonstrate the application of Capacitive Deionization (CDI) for the treatment of drinking water in a small Department of Defense facility, the San Clemente Island Naval Auxiliary Landing Field (NALF). Under previous SSC Pacific contracts N66001-14-P-0081 and N66001-13-P-7472 the contractor modified, tested and evaluated a laboratory prototype unit for Navy use that employed their patented technology. (US Patent 8,216,445) This procurement will require the contractor to modify their existing prototype CDI system by increasing the treatment capacity from 40 gallons per day to a capacity of 1000 gallons water per day. This notice of intent is not a request for quote. A determination by the Government not to compete based upon responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the government. Questions by phone or fax will not be considered. Simplified Acquisitions Procedures under FAR Part 13 apply.
