- This announcement is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Page located at at http://www.fbo.gov. The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) will conduct an Industry Day conference providing information regarding the upcoming SEA 05 Engineering Support Services procurement. The conference will be hosted by NAVSEA 05, the Naval Systems Engineering Directorate. This industry day announcement does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) and is not to be construed as a commitement by the Government to issue a contract or order. The conference will be held 9 May 2016 at NAVSEA HQ, the Humphreys Building (Bldg. 197), 1333 Isaac Hull Ave SE, Washington Navy Yard, DC 20376. The event will begin at 1030 and end no later than 1230 EST. Companies are limited to TWO (2) representatives each as seating is limited. NAVSEA requests that firms interested in attending the SEA 05 ESS Industry Day submit company names and attendee lists by 1300 EST, 2 May 2016 via e-mail to Farzad Afrasiabi at Farzad.Afrasiabi@navy.mil and cc Stacy Kirsch at Stacy.Kirsch@navy.mil. After you submit your intention to attend the event, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. Capacity is limited and will be offered on a first come first served basis. Once your guest list has been submitted, no edits, changes or additions can be made. Please be considerate of our space limitations and do not reserve a spot at industry day unless you plan to attend. All participants MUST follow the directions below to gain access to NAVSEA on the day of the event. If the proper security materials are not received in a timely fashion (prior to 2 May 2016), access to NAVSEA will not be granted: Attendees Holding Security Clearances: Please send visitor clearances to JPAS SMO code: 000244 attn: Veronica Monk by close of business 2 May 2016. Please ensure you provide the reason for visit: INDUSTRY DAY 9 May 2016. Attendees with No Security Clearance: Please complete the attached SECNAV form 5512/1, return the completed form to: https://safe.amrdec.army.mil/SAFE/Welcome.aspx for access onto the installation by close of business 2 May 2016. Upload and send your completed form by following these steps: 1. Click https://safe.amrdec.army.mil/SAFE/Welcome.aspx 2. Click "Ok". 3. Click the applicable button under "CAC Users" or "Non-CAC Users". 4. Complete the "Personal Information Section" as directed. 5. Attach the completed SECNAV form 5512/1 in the "File Information" section by using the "Browse" button. 6. Check the "Privacy Act Data" box located next to the form when the file is attached. 7. Enter "COMPLETED SECNAV 5512/1 FORM" in the "Description of File(s)" section. 8. Add the following email address ( veronica.monk@navy.mil ) in the "Recipient Information" section and click the "Add" button. 9. Under "Email Settings" check the "Encrypt email message when possible" box. 10. Click the "Upload" button. 11. Click the "I Agree" button. 12. You will receive an email from SAFE.Team@amrdec.army.mil. Follow the directionsto verify your e-mail address and send your form. You must have a current state issued picture ID to enter NAVSEA. NAVSEA security will have a list of attendees. As long as attendees have submitted names and the requested security information to NAVSEA prior to the required deadline, attendees will be allowed to enter NAVSEA after showing proper identification. Following the briefing, firms are encouraged to submit questions to Farzad Afrasiabi at Farzad.Afrasiabi@navy.mil. Questions must be submitted by 23 May 2016. The Government reserves the right to answer all, some, or none of the questions submitted. Any responses to questions will be posted for all to see on FBO. Please note that the government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with their travel or participation in this event. Parking on the Navy Yard will not be provided.
