- Sources Sought Attachment. The following is a Sources Sought (SS) notice. This Sources Sought announcement is for market survey information only and is to be used for preliminary planning purposes. No quotes are being requested and none will be accepted in response to this notice. This is not a solicitation for quotes and no contract will be awarded from this notice. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, intends to issue a Request For Quotes (RFQ) on the FedBizOps website at www.fbo.gov. This purchase order will require a seed mix beneficial to grassland health, pollinators, and native bird species will be provided and delivered to the US Army Corps of Engineers Harlan County Lake project within 90 days of contract award. This mix will follow the specified species (scientific name) in the quantity of pure live seed per acre, per square foot, and overall percent of mixture of pure live seed. In an effort to prevent the spread of noxious weeds, ensure plant success, and target specific grassland fauna and pollinators the below seed mix, with listed Nebraska native species is required. If seed from sources outside of Nebraska or seed variety not specific to the requirement is included in the vendors bid, it may not be accepted. Delivery will be shipped to Harlan County Lake Admin Office, 70788 Corps Road A, Republican City, NE 68971. The purpose of this Sources Sought announcement is to gain knowledge of interest and capabilities of various members of industry, to include the Small Business Community: Small Business, Section 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZone), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), and Economically-Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB). The Government will use information received in response to this notice to determine if there is adequate interest among the potential pool of responsible contractors to conduct a set-aside. A set-aside or unrestricted determination will be disclosed in the RFQ. This Sources Sought announcement is posted on an unrestricted basis and both small and large businesses are eligible to respond. Prior experience with Government contract work is not required for submitting a response under this notice. The NACIS code for this requirement is 115112 Soil Preparation, Planting, and Cultivating (unless otherwise stated in an official solicitation, after obtaining information from industry). The size standard is $7.5 million. The following information is requested in this Sources Sought (SS): 1. Firm's names, address, point of contact, phone number, and e-mail address. 2. Firm's interest in providing a quote on the solicitation when it is issued. 3. Firm's business size and business category (Large or Small Business, 8(a), HUBZone, Small Disadvantage Business, Women-Owned, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, etc.) 4. Please see the attached, Seed Specifications to identify all: species, scientific name, PLS lbs per acre, PLS seeds per sq ft, and % of Mixture PLS required and whether your firm have the capability to provide 150 - 250 Acres No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement and any follow-up information requests. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation; however, the Kansas City District will utilize the information for acquisition planning purposes. If adequate responses are not received from small business concerns, the acquisition may be solicited on an unrestricted basis. All interested contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award of Government contracts. If your company has recent experience or has provided supplies required to this specific seed mix beneficial to grassland health, pollinators, and native bird species, please send your SS responses no later than 15 days from the date of this notice via email to SSG Jerri Taylor, Jerri.A.Taylor@usace.army.mil.
