DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Project work consists of renourishment of eroded shoreline in Duval County between Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Range Monuments R-45 in the north to R-80 in the south, terminating at the border between Duval County and St. John's County. The fill template is located within the municipalities of Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach, and Jacksonville Beach. The project beach has a maximum berm elevation of +8.2 feet NAVD88, and a minimum berm elevation no less than +7.2 feet NAVD88 with a foreshore slope of 1 Vertical on 20 Horizontal to tie into existing grade. The width of the restored beach is 145 feet measured perpendicular to the Construction Base Line (CBL) as shown on the drawings. The sand for the project will be sourced from an offshore borrow area at the location shown on the drawings. Project work also includes, but is not limited to, vibration control and monitoring, environmental species monitoring, turbidity monitoring and Contracting Officer's field office. Note: Coast Guard Certified Equipment is REQUIRED. Magnitude of construction is between $10,000,000.00 and $20,000,000.00. The request for proposal will be issued on or about 25 April 2016 and proposals will be due on or about 27 May 2016. The award of the task order will be made on the basis of Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA). The technical evaluation factors are availability of technically acceptable plant and equipment and past performance. See attached request for proposal for submission requirements.
