RE: VA786-16-R-0133 An amendment to the solicitation as follow: The government reserves the right to move the tree installation portion of this project to mid-September 2016. This is due to the fact that by the time this project may be awarded and the Contractor will secure the 27 trees to be installed; we may be on the back edge of the spring planting season and too close to summer where the trees may be unnecessarily stressed from summer heat. Planting too late in the spring may cause a greater risk of tree failure. Moving the planting to mid-September will provide a greater chance for the trees to become established without the heat of summer. Questions and Answers for VA786-16-R-0133 1.Question: Is this a follow-on requirement? If so, could you please provide the incumbent contract number for this opportunity? If not, is this a new requirement? Answer: This is a new requirement. 2.Question: We would like to know if the trees can be planted in the fall, since in this region fall is the optimum time for planting and root establishment? Answer: See statement above.
