Description

The Department of health and Human Services(HHS) intends to make a sole source award to SYMANTEC CORPORATION. The purchase of 125 Units is expected to provide for the anticipated SSL certificates that are necessary in order to meet the requirements of the OMB Memorandum M-15-13. The Memorandum requires that "agencies must make all existing website and service accessible through a secure connection by December 31,2016. This award will be made in accordane with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive orders. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement withn seven (7) days after the publication which shall be considered by the agency. Responses recieved after the response date or without the required information may not be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete as a result of information recieved is solely within the discretion of the goverment. The projected awrd date is May 2016.
