- The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, MEC Product Line, has a requirement for the purchase of Diesel Engine Governors, NSN 2910-01-481-4014, P/N 8577-356, Model PGA-EG, in support of USCG 270' Medium Endurance Cutters. BRAND NAME ONLY. It is anticipated that a non-competitive, fixed price, sole source contract will be awarded to Woodward Inc/Industrial Products Group, the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), or one of their authorized distributors for this equipment. It is the Government's belief that only Woodward Inc/Industrial Products Group possesses the required capabilities to successfully manufacture these parts and can insure compatibility, conform to the exact design and material requirements with existing onboard installations.. NOTE: NO DRAWINGS, SPECIFICATIONS OR SCHEMATICS ARE AVAILABLE FROM THIS AGENCY!! The U.S. Coast Guard does NOT possess the data rights to the specifications, drawings or other technical data. All data, specifications, and drawings are proprietary to Woodward Inc/Industrial Products Group. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate only with Woodward Inc/Industrial Products Group or their authorized distributors. Concerns having the expertise and required capabilities to furnish the items are invited to submit complete and current information discussing their capabilities within 10 calendar days from the date this notice is posted. The following information must be provided and must include sufficient detail to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the acceptability of the offered system and components: 1) Complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered parts (i.e. salient physical functional characteristics). 2) Data to confirm that the offered parts have been satisfactorily manufactured for the Government or the OEM. 3) Evidence that you are an authorized distributor of this equipment for Woodward Inc/Industrial Products Group. This is not a Request for Proposals, therefore; no pricing information shall be submitted at this time. Information due shall be submitted via e-mail to Ms. Harwood at Florence.m.harwood@uscg.mil. The Government does not intend to pay for the information solicited. It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor the EPS system for future notices and changes. It is the Coast Guard ELC's intention to release a Combined Synopsis solicitation within 20 days of this Sources Sought notice. All responses will be considered by this agency.
