Description

This is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes. The Amarillo VA Health Care System (AVAHCS), located at 3010 Amarillo Blvd. West, Amarillo, TX 79106, requires an automated slide preparation unit (slide maker). The slide maker requested is a "ThinPrep T2000 Processor" or equal. The acquisition will be accomplished using commercial item procedures in accordance with FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Part 13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials and equipment necessary to delivery and install the slide maker. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 334516 - Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing. Any firms who wish to identify their interests and capability to provide this item must provide proof that authorization from the manufacturer has been attained by notifying the Contract Specialist no later than 4:00 PM EST, 04/29/2016. Such notification must include any documentation that includes certifications and description of product that meets or exceeds the capabilities of the manufacturer. Notification shall be e-mailed or faxed to Jessica Roman, Contract Specialist, jessica.roman@va.gov, fax: 432-517-4586. Upon receipt of any such notifications, the Contracting Officer will determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement or proceed with a sole source negotiation. Responses received will be evaluated, however; a determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes.
