- SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE No Solicitation is currently available. This sources sought notice is for planning purposes only. All information contained herein is preliminary, and subject to changes and/or cancellation at the discretion of the Government. Interested vendors shall provide responses to this notice voluntarily, and at no cost to the Government. The information requested will be used solely within the Department of Veterans Affairs to facilitate decision making and will not be disclosed outside of the Government. Based upon information received in response to this Sources Sought Notice the government shall make a determination of a procurement strategy. The eventual procurement strategy if any is solely within the discretion of the Government. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, and the small business size standard is $36.5M. Project magnitude is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Potential Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for an award (See Internet Site https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/). Potential Offerors must also have a current Online Representations and Certification Application on file with SAM. Description of Services Project 612A4-14-014, PREP SITE FOR NEW MRI. The project will be located at VA Northern Health Care System facility at Mather Campus, CA. The project shall involve 3 phases as follows: Phase I: "Construction of approximately 990 sf addition to Building 700 at the VA Medical Center in Mather, CA 95655, to receive new Ingenia 1.5T Omega HP MRI and system equipment provided by the VA. "Preparing the grounds and site for construction of additional space to receive this new MRI equipment, which includes new and upgrades to the architectural, structural, electrical, HVAC systems, and all utilities connections. "Work in this phase to be accomplished in 95 days schedule period. Phase II: "Vacation of interior area adjacent to new Phase I addition, partial demolition to connect existing space with new building addition and complete renovation of approximately 468 sf of interior space. "Prepare the site, existing space, and new addition to receive the new MRI equipment including all utilities and support equipment required for the operation of the MRI equipment. "Work in this phase to be accomplished in 65 days schedule period, including testing and validation of support systems. Phase III: "Installation of new MRI equipment by Phillips. This includes coordination and collaboration in the installation of the new equipment with Phillips, and performing all mechanical equipment tests and balance. "The Phillips equipment drawings are integral to the construction drawings. Everything needed for the installation of the new equipment shall be covered under the bid. "Work to be accomplished in 20 days schedule period. Interested vendors shall provide the following capability information to the Contract Specialist, Mr. Jude Osudoh, via e-mail at jude.osudoh@va.gov no later than 4:00PM Pacific Daylight Time on April 29, 2016: (a) Business Size (Large/Small) (b) Business Socio-Economic Status (SDVOSB, WOSB, 8(a), HUBZone, etc.) (c) SAM record (d) DUNS number (e) Ability and experience in managing projects between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Include general information and technical background describing your firm's experience on contracts requiring similar efforts to meet the program objectives. (f) Bonding Capability; per contract and aggregate. Provide amount of aggregate bonding currently available (i.e. amount not committed). (g) Anticipated Teaming Arrangements (if any) (h) List of Projects (Government and Commercial) that are similar is scope and size, including SF of project (i) Average price per square foot for each project identified under paragraph (h) above, using the total modified value of the contract Interested parties shall not submit more than 10 single-sided, type-written pages using 12-point font or larger. Published literature may be any number of pages. The Government will use this information when determining its business type decision. This Sources Sought Notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. No contract will be awarded as a direct result of this announcement.
