Description

The VA Medical Center 1540 Spring Valley Drive Huntington, WV 25704 has a requirement for a construction services for project #581-15-105, Replace Cooling Tower Building 1S. The contractor shall provide all resources necessary to accomplish a construction project described per the provided specifications and drawings. This is a multi-phased project to replace cooling tower of Building 1S, the main patient support building at VAMC Huntington. All work will be accomplished in other than normal working hours. Work includes demolition of the existing cooling tower, associated piping, electrical, controls; installation of new cooling tower in a separate location with new piping, plumbing, electrical, and controls. Construction of a new pump room in the basement of Bldg. 34 and relocation of the water treatment system is also included. NAICS Code 238220 is applicable to this requirement. The Small Business size standard is $15 million. This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR Part 14 Sealed Bidding. The contract type will be Firm-Fixed Price. This solicitation will be a 100% Set-Aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. To be eligible for award, at the time which offers are due and delivered to the Contracting Officer, the bidder must be listed and viewable in the Vendor Information Pages in the VetBiz registry at www.vip.vetbiz.gov. The Vendor Information Pages will be checked at the time of receipt of all offers, as well as prior to award. In addition, bidders are further advised that compliance with VAAR 852.219-10 shall be enforced and monitored to ensure that the minimum self-performance requirements are being met by the SDVOSB contractor. The successful bidder must also be able to demonstrate how their firms intend to satisfy the self-performance requirements. Should the successful bidder be unable to do so, the contracting officer will deem such bidder as non-responsive and an award will be made to the next bidder whose bid is determined to be the next Lowest Price Technically Acceptable. The estimate construction cost range is: $2,000,000 - $5,000,000 The solicitation will be available for download on or before June 6, 2016.
