Description
Amendment 002 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers requires water sample collection services, to be performed at the Lake Ashtabula Reservoir, Sheyenne River, North Dakota. The contractor will collect water samples at four (4) designated sites in the reservoir. Samples will be collected at two depths (1 meter from surface, 1 meter from bottom). Samples will be collected once in May, and twice per month in June, July, August and September, with collections occuring at least ten (10) days apart. Field aata collected at time of sampling (location, time, temperature, pH, SpCond, dissolved oxygen profile, Secchi disk transparency measurement, etc.), instrument calibration data, and results from each sampling will be transmitted to USACE contact designated. One additional sample will be collected at each location on a monthly basis for EPA testing. Samples will be prepared for testing (including filtration, decanting, packaging for shipment, and maintaining chain of custody), in accordance with procedures specified by North Dakota Department of Health Labs. Samples will be packaged and shipped in bottles and coolers provided by the ND Dept. of Health and/or EPA. Contractor will be responsible for ensuring samples arrive at North Dakota Department of Health Labs in Bismarck, ND during normal business hours, within the allowable holding times (typically accomplished using overnight delivery services). This contract will be for one year (base) with four (4) option years. The solicitation will be a Full & Open Request for Quotes, resulting in a Firm-Fixed Price Contract. Amendment 002 is issued to provide answers to vendor questions.
