- National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) Code 210.M, Office of Mission Enabling in support of Code 582, Flight Software Systems Branch intends to negotiate solely (as prescribed in FAR 13.106(b)(1)(i) with Wind River Systems, 500 Wind River Way, Alameda, CA 94501, for the renewal of software maintenance for existing licenses for a one year period of performance; June 19, 2016 - Jun 18, 2017. The government will purchase the following items: Product Code Description Quantity 535-166005 Wind River General Purpose 2 500-166004 Platform (GPP) VxWorks Edition 6.9,Subscription Floating 539-178388 Enterprise Support & Maintenance, 2 Subscription VxWorks is the operating system used to write and operate projects in support of Code 582, Flight Software Systems Branch. Wind River Systems is the only source capable of providing the services required at the level of quality required because the services are unique, highly specialized and have exclusive licensing arrangements. The software provided by Wind River Systems is proprietary and no other distributor is authorized for their product line. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 511210 and the size standard is $38.5 million. This announcement constitutes the notice required by FAR 5.201. Interested persons may identify their interest by submitting a capability statement, proposal or quotation to the point of contact listed below. This Special Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government.
