Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center, Lakehurst, intends to procure production and delivery of a maximum of (87) Engine Stand Adapters, (P/N) RBT18700A, NSN 4920-10-193-67078, and (87) Rotor Expandable Bolt WorkAids (P/N) RBT18002, NSN 4920-10-193-67080 to support the MQ-8C Fire Scout Vertical Take-Off and Landing Tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (VTUAV) Program at the Organizational Level of Maintenance for the MQ-8C engine. This will be a sole source procurement with Red Barn Machine (CAGE 0E1A0), the original equipment manufacturer. Red Barn possesses the proprietary technical data and drawings that enable the manufacturing of these parts. Red Barn does not sell through distributors or re-sellers. The government does not possess technical data for either the MQ-8C engine or the PSE, which would be necessary to develop a competitive procurement package. The technical data ensures that the PSE items are correctly configured when constructed, as to properly interface with the MQ-8C and to assure that required maintenance functions can be safely and effectively performed. This acquisition is being pursued under authority of 41 U.S.C 1901, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Unless stated herein, no additional information is available. Requests for a determination by the Government not to compete this effort are solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses stating interest must be received within fifteen (15) days of publication of this notice. The Point of Contact to receive an RFP is Mr. Domenick Davino, Domenick.Davino@navy.mil, Code 2.5.2.5.1, (732) 323-7436. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) Database prior to submission of an offer to be considered for award of any DoD contract. This may be accomplished electronically at: http://www.sam.gov/vendor.cfm. GENERAL INFORMATION: There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, or be responsible for any money expended by interested parties before award of a contract for the effort described above. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit or award a contract.
