Description

This is an amendment to respond to questions regarding this combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The offerors due date for quotes are April 27, 2016 by 10 am. Quotes are being requested and no other questions will be accepted. This solicitation VA250-16-Q-0226 is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ), with the intent to award a Firm-Fixed Price contract for services. All solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-60. The contract duration is from award date to completion. This requirement is restricted-sufficient small business for commercial items under the North Atlantic Industrial Classification System (NAICS) 238210. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable factors and Socioeconomic status are considered in the evaluation. All offerors must be registered in SAM. The following questions and responses are listed below: Question - Make, Model, & kVA of UPS? Response - Liebert, Npower 65 UPS, 65KVA/52KW Question - What is the input & output voltage of the UPS? Response -Input: 480V three phase; Output: 208V three phase Question - What is the total number of Batteries needed per battery cabinet? Response - 40 per cabinet. There are two cabinets Question - UPS model and power rating for the fan and capacitor replacement? Response - Liebert Npower 65 UPS 65KVA/52KW UPS. We do not have part number information on this UPS to give specifics for the fan and capacitor. Please note: This is one of the two UPS'S that power our data servers for the hospital. The contractor that does this job needs to have intimate knowledge of this system and how it operates. This UPS does not have an external bypass switch. It will have to be shut down during the fan and capacitor change. The battery replacement can be done by shutting down one cabinet of batteries at a time. This will allow for the UPS to be on line during this work. Again the contractor must know how to operate the equipment. It is our goal to minimize the outage time to the least amount possible. The other UPS will handle 100 percent of the load while this UPS unit is off line. Security of our servers is a concern. It is a limited access area.
