- Rock Island National Cemetery Replace Electric Panel Board in Boiler Room & Misc. Electrical Work Overview: This project is for electrical improvements to the administration and garage buildings at Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, Illinois. The work includes the removal and replacement of the electric panel board and the circuit breakers in the boiler room as well as identify and modify circuits in the electric panel for the shop room. The work includes site investigation to verify all measurements and site conditions before start of the work and the ordering of any materials. The work includes shop drawings and submittals to be approved for all materials to be used. All work shall be performed in a professional workmanship like manner. All adjacent disturbed surfaces shall be repaired to the same quality standards of the existing work and shall also match the adjacent areas. Properly remove and dispose all debris from government property. All work must be in accordance with applicable federal, state and local codes and regulations. A pre-bid visit by the bidder is required to get an accurate understanding of the work. All work shall be performed by a licensed full time professional with two or more years of experience in the respective trade. 1) Replace the 225 Amp, 3 phase, 120-208v, 42 space, Kinney panel located in building 119- Boiler Room along with the circuit breakers and busses. Replace with like panel board (Siemens or equal from Decco) having an approximate tub size of 20-inches wide x 42-inches long. a) The breakers are identified as 1-2 pole 60 Amp, 1-3 pole 50 Amp, 2-3 pole 20 Amp, 1-3 pole 100 Amp, 1-2 pole 20 Amp, 1-1 pole 30 Amp, 25-1 pole 20 Amp. However, contractor responsible for determining breaker sizes and to match the existing breaker sizes as required and to re-feed and connect the main to the panel from the existing raceway. b) The MDP for disconnection to power is located in the adjacent garage bay a short distance away. c) Work to be completed on the weekend only for minimal disruption to the facility. Provide all temporary power as needed to keep operations (i.e. lights) running. Also, an additional generator will be needed to power/run the computer server (also located in the boiler room) without interruption. d) Provide ability to test emergency lights (battery) for the required check time (approx. 90 minutes). e) Provide circuit testing to ensure circuits are not overloaded. f) Provide ARC flash identification per NFPA 70E. g) Trace out and identify existing circuits/breaker loads for new panel schedule. Provide a new typed legible circuit panel index card with all circuits properly identified in accordance with the desire of the cemetery. h) The work shall include removing the old panel board and all the associated gear and tie into existing feeds. All work shall be installed in accordance with the National Electric Code and local building codes. 2) Provide a load test on the panel board located in building 119-shop room. The panel is a GE 60 Amp, 3 phase, 120-208v with a 50 Amp feed. a) Contractor to determine if 50 Amp feed is adequate; provide circuit testing to ensure circuits are not overloaded. b) Welder is no longer being used. Replace welder receptacle with a standard quadplex receptacle. c) Trace out and identify existing circuits/breaker loads for updating the panel schedule. Provide a new typed legible circuit panel index card with all circuits properly identified in accordance with the desire of the cemetery. d) Provide ARC flash identification per NFPA 70E. e) The breakers are identified as 2-2 pole 30 Amp, 1-2 pole 20 Amp, 8-1 pole 20 Amp.
