Description
NDI Statement of work The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to conduct a limited competition for procurement of None Destructive Test (NDT) requirements on nuclear and nuclear related submarine systems. This effort is limited to nuclear qualified shipyards only. This requirement will be competed under the terms of the submarine repair basic ordering agreements issued to Huntington Ingalls Industries, Newport News Shipbuilding (HII-NNS) and General Dynamics, Electric Boat (EB) under BOAs N00024-14-G-4301 and N00024-14-G-4300 respectively. These two private shipyards are the only nuclear qualified and certified shipyards capable of performing this work. This proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source or a limited number of sources under the authority FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The notice is for informational purposes only. The statement of work is placed herein for information only. A determination of the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The place of performance for this requirement will be King's Bay Georgia. The requirement is projected to start on 1 June 2016 with an expected duration through October 2016.
