- Notice Type: Notice of Intent to Sole Source The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN -08 Networking Contracting Office-08 intends to award a commercial (FAR Part 12) Large Business Sole Source contract for various pharmacies located at the James A. Haley VA Hospital 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd. Tampa, Florida 33612. The Government anticipates award a Base Year, firm-fixed price contract in accordance with only one source; ScriptPro USA, Inc. 5828 Reeds Rd. Shawnee Mission, KS 66202-2740 in accordance with FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B) Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized. Purpose and Objectives: The intent of this Notice is to identify potential offerors capable of providing full service to upgrade the outdated windows operating system to include the software/hardware on the ScriptPro automated pharmacy Dispensing System. The ScriptPro Robot hardware/software shall be upgraded to Windows 7 to implement Security Enhancement system. The Server hardware/software shall be upgraded to Server 2008 to implement security enhancement. SP Datapoints will be upgraded with newer models designed to maximize Script Pro enhancements based on the upgraded operating system. 1). Script-Pro Robotic Prescription Dispensing System and associated components: All personnel must be fully qualified, OEM certified in order to work on this equipment. Fully Qualified is based upon training and on experience in the field. For training, the Service Representatives must have successfully completed a formalized training program, for the equipment identified herein. Certifications and/or training records may be requested. SOFTWARE UPGRADES A.Contractor shall provide OEM approved software upgrades (feature enhancements). OEM releases at least one major upgrade every year with significant enhancements. Contractor shall manage all software upgrades, working in collaboration with local users and Biomedical Engineering. Upgrades may be provided and installed remotely, and shall be scheduled to ensure little or no downtime. B.Contractor shall provide an electronic bulletin service, designed to provide notification of current and pending software upgrades, upcoming events and training opportunities, and important service announcements. CONFORMANCE STANDARDS: Contractor shall ensure that the equipment functions IAW Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) performance standards. Do not send any information unless if are able to demonstrate the firm's ability, capability, and responsibility to deliver the service listed above. Responses should include the following information: Business name, address, business size and Socioeconomic Category (HUBZone, 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran, Small Business, Large Business, etc.), and point of contact to include e-mail address and telephone number. All offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (www.sam.gov) and Representations and Certifications must be completed prior to any future award. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to provide the full maintenance and repair service on equipment listed. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This notice does not constitute an invitation for bids or a Request for Quote (RFQ) and is not a commitment by the U.S. Government to procure subject services. No funds are available to pay for preparation of responses to this notification. No solicitation package is available. Interested persons may identify their capability to respond to these requirements by Tuesday 03 May 2016 in or before 1500/3:00PM Eastern Standard Time. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based on response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will use the information received to determine whether other sources are available and capable of satisfying this requirement.
