- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available and telephone requests will not be honored. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This purchase will be made utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures: • Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b) for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold of $150,000. • FAR Part 13.501 (a) for purchases exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold of $150,000. The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) intends to award a sole source purchase order to The Pro Custom Group of Finksbury, MD to furnish: ______See Attached Inquiry of Availability ____X___ See Below Custom Ruggedized Laptop Mounting, Trays and Bases: CLIN 0001: 1 Each = X500-901MNT-NRE X500 Ruggedized Mount Compatible with existing Mount Base NRE x500 mount ray per rendering below and mount base per photo. x500 mount tray designed to interface with the existing mount base x500 main mount tray to be of steel construction. Mount tray to have adjustable display support arms per rendering. Mount tray with X500 designed to MIL-S-9010 as follows: Lightweight Test, Grade B, Class I, Type A. Base to be functional duplicate of the existing Base. Refer to Mount Base.jpg. All tray and BASE components finished with anti-corrosion coating to with stand salt environments. Mounting hardware to be stainless steel. Documentation to be provided with first article units: Dimensioned top level & sub assembly drawings and parts lists CLIN 0002: 2 Each = X500-901MNT-KIT 2x X500 Mount Kit First Articles confirming to all specifications and suitable to conduct testing attached to base and with X500 installed. Includes shipping costs. First article mounts and bases will be used for the EQT process and will then be delivered to NRL. Modification of first article mounts to pass MIL-S-901D (if required) CLIN 0003: 1 Each = X500-901MNT-EQT MIL-S-901D Environmental Qualification Testing by independent lab to be include in the design cycle A. Navy to supply sample X500 for EQT B. Test report and test data to be supplied. C. Testing to be conducted as follows: 1. Lightweight Test, Grade B, Class I, Type A CLIN 0004: 48 Each = X500-901MNT Ruggedized X-500 Mount, includes shipping. CLIN 0005: 3 Each = X500-901MNTBASE Ruggedized X-500 Mount Base, Includes shipping. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 334111 with the size standard of 1,250 Employees. The Federal Supply Code (FSC) / Product Service Code (PSC) procurement is 7042. Interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement within fifteen (15) calendar days of the publication of this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
